Montana Plastic Primer Spray is the perfect tool to create a neutral base on plastic surfaces, over which you can apply further coatings and colours. It is ideal for sealing and preparing plastic materials for the efficient application of colour coats. It assists in adhesion, maximises coverage of further coatings, seals porous surfaces and reduces the risk of tearing and cracking. It can be used on hard plastics such as polyurethane (PUR), polystyrene (PS), polyamide (PA), polypropylene rubber, modified (EPDM), acrylic butadiene styrene plastics (ABS), glass-fibre reinforced plastics (GfK), hard polyvinyl chloride (Hard-PVC) and more. Due to the varied chemical make-up of plastics, we suggest trialing on a non-visible area of your material to test for compatibility.
A smooth, even application is effortless thanks to the Montana Flat Jet cap which is standard on the can. We suggest testing the primer for compatibility on a non-visible area of the surface. Curing time is around 24 hours, depending on ambient temperature and moisture levels. Once cured, you can apply any spray products from the Montana Gold, Black, Tech or Effect ranges the primer once it has fully dried and cured, and it will increase their intensity and longevity.
