The Montana Needle Cap (Purple) is even skinnier version of the Needle Cap. With an average spray width of 2 to 10 millimetres in diameter, it creates sketchy, rough lines that are ideal for highlights, small details or rendering special effects. The line width is determined by the distance from the surface being painted. For very fine lines, hold the can very close; for wider lines, hold further away.
Needle caps earn their name from their unique build and appearance. Unlike the dots that designate the spray trajectory of standard caps, the needle cap has a hollow plastic tube extruding from its round body. This makes the paint squirt out as if it was being sprayed through a needle.
