Montana Rust Effect Spray Paint is an innovative product that creates the illusion of rust and oxidisation, making it ideal for hobby, DIY or creative projects. It can be used on a variety of surfaces including paper, cardboard, primed canvas, wood, glass, metal, ceramics, porcelain, stone, acrylic, and many other paintable materials. The rust effect is created with Montana's nitro-combi formulation, mimicking the appearance of oxidised metal. You can either apply the effect as a single colour, or combine the two different colours together for a more organic appearance. The rust effect can be top coated and combined with Montana Gold, acrylic markers and other acrylic paints once completely dry.
Pre-priming is required for application on polystyrene, ideally with Montana Polystyrene Primer Spray. Surfaces should be dry and free of dust and oils before application. For best results apply from around 25cm away from the object. Apply in thin even layers, in a sweeping motion with at least 2 min drying time between each pass. Allow 24 hours for the paint to cure applying other coatings. Always test spray on a non-visible area to check the compatibility of lacquer or paint.
